Tour Colombia 2.1 - Stage one: Tunja › Tunja, 16.7km team time trial

Team INEOS set the third fastest time on the opening stage as Tour Colombia got under way in front of a packed crowd.

Fans lined the entire 16.7-kilometre course in Tunja, with a time of 18 minutes and 47 seconds proving to be competitive ahead of five upcoming road stages.

The marker was just one second off the time set by Deceunick-Quick-Step, and 46 seconds back on the day's winners, EF Education First.

Egan Bernal, Richard Carapaz, Jhonatan Narvaez and Brandon Rivera crossed the line as a quartet, after earlier work from Sebastian Henao and Leonardo Basso.

"It was a decent start. In the last part of the course we started to become a bit disorganised but in general, with the team of climbers that we have here, we can be relatively happy.

"Education First did a really good job and set a great time. Congratulations to them."
