Team Sky worked hard to claim fourth place on the opening day of Hammer Sportzone Limburg.

The Hammer Climb kicked off proceedings in Holland and a committed breakaway ride from Pavel Sivakov provided the backbone for a strong opening performance of 746 points.
The Russian was clear for three laps alongside Mark Padun (Bahrain Merida), taking maximum points on lap six, before a pair of second places, the second of which yielded double points on lap eight.
Owain Doull used his power to take top points on the second lap of the day, with the combination of a tough course and trying conditions ensuring the race quickly blew apart. Doull chipped in with points throughout the 11-lap race, with Diego Rosa emerging late on make sure of fourth.
There was no stopping Bahrain Merida on the day, scoring almost 400 points more than closest rivals Lotto Soudal.
The action continues on Saturday with the Hammer Sprint race. You can watch the action live on the Hammer Series Twitter and Facebook accounts.
