Tour of Poland - Stage five: Wieliczka › Bielsko-Biała, 153.8km

Ben Swift sprinted to third place on stage five at the Tour of Poland following a committed leadout from Team INEOS.

The Yorkshireman was led into the final metres by Tao Geoghegan Hart after the team took it up with 3.5 kilometres to go in Bielsko-Biala.

The result moved Swift up to third place overall on the general classification, 16 seconds back on leader Pascal Ackermann (Bora-Hansgrohe). Luka Mezgec (Mitchelton-Scott) jumped into second after taking victory with a well-timed sprint.

It was a burst from Vasil Kiryienka which visibly upped the pace on the final lap of the finishing circuit. Michal Golas and Salvatore Puccio kept the momentum up before Owain Doull drove the peloton into the final kilometre. That saw Geoghegan Hart put in a final surge, with the Brit also remaining well-placed on GC, 24 seconds off yellow alongside Pavel Sivakov.
