Deutschland Tour stage four: Eisenach - Erfurt, 159.5km

Ben Swift sprinted to eighth on the final stage of the Deutschland Tour as Sonny Colbrelli (Bahrain Merida) prevailed in a bunch kick to the line in Erfurt.

Swift battled in the finale after a number of late attacks were thwarted by Trek-Segafredo, who were keen to protect the overall lead of Jasper Stuyven.

On the last lap of the Erfurt finish circuit, Pavel Sivakov tried made an opportune push to split the peloton with 3.7km to go, but his move was quickly shut down by Colbrelli's teammate Vincenzo Nibali, who in turn was stopped by the Trek team keen to protect their leader.

The result means there is little change to the overall standings, with Jhonatan Narvaez 11th in the general classification and Swift 18th, with Narvaez narrowly missing out on the best young rider's jersey - finishing just three seconds behind winner Marc Hirschi (Team Sunweb).
Stage four result:

1. Sonny Colbrelli (Bahrain Merida) 3:44:48
2. Yves Lampaert (Deceuninck-Quick-Step) s.t.
3. Alexander Kristoff (UAE Team Emirates) s.t.
4. Alexey Lutsenko (Astana) s.t.
5. Jasper Stuyven (Trek-Segafredo) s.t.
8. Ben Swift (Team INEOS)

Overall standings:

1. Jasper Stuyven (Trek-Segafredo) 16:23:09
